Know before installing

The runtime MIT license does not grant rights to every model. Check each model license and keep the service private unless you deliberately secure network access. Generated answers require verification.

A small first task

  1. Install from the official download page.
  2. Choose a local model whose license and size fit your task.
  3. Test with public sample text before sensitive material.
  4. If you only need source sentences, try the TDS extractive summarizer.

A curated directory of independent projects. External software has its own requirements and privacy practices. Listed licenses describe the upstream code; model weights, bundled components and hosted services may have different terms.
