A correction to our own pages: we previously described torsos as "5–30 lb" across this site. That holds for small and mid torsos, and this data showed it does not hold for the large 140 cm class. We've amended those pages — check the stated weight of the specific product, not the category name. The torso vs full-size comparison has the full trade-off.
What these numbers mean in practice
- Do the carry test at the real number. Take the stated weight of the doll you're considering — not a guess from its height — and carry that up your stairs. It will be harder than the test, not easier: a doll is limp, unbalanced, and cannot hold on. The 60-Second Finder asks about this before anything else.
- 60 lb vs 95 lb is a different ownership. The difference decides whether cleaning, repositioning and storage happen casually or become the reason the doll ends up permanently stored.
- If weight rules out full-size, it doesn't rule out everything. A slim-build full doll (43–63 lb in this sample), a small torso (13–18 lb), or a compact build each solve it differently.
- A listing with no stated weight is telling you something. Vendors know weight stops sales. Ask for it in writing before you pay; a shop that won't state it fails the spirit of the ten checks.
Method and limitations
- Source: product listings at one vetted vendor (YourDoll), collected 27 July 2026 by an automated read of 110 product pages. 33 full-body and 6 torso listings carried usable height and weight; the rest were accessories, spare heads or items without stated figures.
- These are vendor-stated figures. We did not independently weigh anything. Our consistency check: builds that appeared in several listings returned identical figures every time (63 lb ×4, 73 lb ×5, 111 lb ×3, 100 lb ×2), which is what genuine spec-sheet data looks like and scrape noise does not.
- Exclusions: one clothing item that inherited a doll's dimensions, and two partial-body items whose recorded weight could not be tied to the product itself. Anything with a childlike appearance is excluded from this site categorically.
- One vendor's catalogue is not the whole market. Factory builds recur across vendors, so the ranges travel reasonably well — but treat them as ranges, not quotes. This page will be re-collected periodically; the date above is the date that matters.

The honest read of this page: we earn a commission on these links, and the single most useful thing you can do with our data is ignore the photos on the other end until you've read the weight line. The prettiest doll at an unmanageable weight is the one that ends up in a closet.
