How checks work
Compares normalized extracted text, ignoring repeated whitespace. Similar text may be paired as a changed page; review the suggested pairings. It does not compare images, layout, annotations or the correctness of reading order.
Files are limited to 20 MB each, 10 per batch and 100 MB total. Inspection covers up to 200 pages per PDF and 600 per batch. Very large text pages are capped at 100,000 characters and 2,000,000 per document. Partial results are labelled.

Can I compare PDF versions after a page is inserted?
The tool aligns pages using normalized text and proposes pairings around insertions. Review added, removed and changed pages; pairings are suggestions and can be ambiguous for repeated content.
Does identical extracted text mean two PDF files are identical?
No. Images, tags, layout and other bytes can differ. Use file verification for a SHA-256 and byte-count comparison, and review visual changes in the original PDFs.
