YourDoll (yourdoll.com): the evidence file
What the public record shows
Their ratings disagree with each other, and that disagreement is the finding. A shop with one glowing score is easy to judge; a shop whose scores span two full stars needs its evidence read, not averaged.
| Source | What it showed when we checked | Check it yourself |
|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot | About 4 stars across roughly 214 reviews โ the largest sample, and positive | trustpilot.com |
| Knoji | 2.8 across 54 reviews โ materially worse than Trustpilot | knoji.com |
| Better Business Bureau | Not accredited; profile carries complaints recorded as unanswered. We could not load the BBB page directly to read it ourselves โ treat this line as second-hand until you have. | bbb.org |
One more data point, reported for completeness: the company has publicly stated that a group left dozens of one-star reviews with no matching orders in its system. We cannot verify either the reviews or the rebuttal โ but it is part of the record, and it cuts both ways: it could explain some low scores, and it is also exactly what any shop would say about low scores.
The recurring complaints, specifically
Generic "mixed reviews" tells you nothing. The themes that repeat are specific and worth planning around:
- Photo-versus-reality gap. Buyers reporting that "the photos of the website appear highly manipulated since the actual doll is not even close".
- Arrival condition. Dolls arriving broken, with mismatched colour, or with missing parts.
- Responsiveness after a complaint โ the one that matters most, because it decides how every other problem ends. This partly fails our own vetting criterion 6 (a real contact surface with responsive support), and we say so rather than quietly re-scoring it.
Why we still list them โ and what neutralises the risks
We keep the listing because the largest review sample is still positive, and because the two most common complaints have a defence that works at any vendor โ which is the same advice we give everywhere on this site:
- Require factory photos of your actual doll and approve them in writing before dispatch. This collapses the photo-gap and arrival-condition risks into a checkpoint you control.
- Pay by credit card or PayPal, never bank transfer โ so a dispute route survives if the third complaint theme (post-sale silence) happens to you. What each payment method preserves: the recourse checker, which carries no affiliate links.
- Film the unboxing continuously, crate to doll. That video wins disputes.
What we could not verify
- The BBB detail, as above โ the page would not load for us.
- Individual review authenticity, in either direction.
- Warehouse and shipping-origin claims; ask "which country does my order physically ship from?" in writing and keep the reply, per the Scam-Check's post-payment traps.
No score, deliberately. A one-number verdict launders all of the above into false precision โ and this vendor's whole story is that the numbers disagree.
If you decide to proceed
This is the affiliate link, so the disclosure at the top applies to it: browse yourdoll.com's catalogue โ. Before you pay anything, run the shop โ any shop โ through the 10-point Scam-Check, price the real first-year cost with the calculator, and check your country's import rules.
