Choose a resting place around the plush’s natural shape. Do not use a rigid-figure capacity claim or squeeze a plush to make a shelf fit.

What to measure

Measure width, depth and height in the pose you intend to display, including ears, tails and any rigid face or feet.

Check shelf depth and open access. A basket’s rim and tapered sides can leave less usable room than its outside dimensions suggest.

Leave enough space to lift the item without pulling an ear, pendant loop or label. Check the support surface and any shelf installation requirements.

Compare the options

Open shelf — You want the whole shape visible and easy to reach. — Leaves the plush exposed to dust. Follow the exact product’s care guidance.

Open basket — You want an accessible resting place for several soft pieces. — Do not fill it so tightly that lower pieces are compressed; check lining and snag points.

Individual enclosure — You want a display boundary around one special piece. — Needs enough internal volume for the natural pose. An enclosure does not certify preservation or UV protection.
